Upgrade from SAP PI 7.11 to SAP PO 7.5

Hi Everyone!

A customer is planning to migrate from SAP PI 7.11 EHP1 to SAP PO 7.5 (ABAP + JAVA) SP3.

They have an average of 15 interfaces all of them using the ABAP stack, and the core and most important interface is designed using ccBPM, it's not planned to change any interface in the short term.

Should we take some care or any advice in regards to this SAP PI upgrade ?

Thanks in advance!

Juan.

    Hello Juan,

SAP PI 7.5 (ABAP + JAVA) SP3 supports CCBPM as well since it is a dual stack installation.

So I guess there should not be any problem in this upgrade.

    Hi Juan,

SAP PO does not have ABAP Stack, its Java stack+BPM+BRM. Your customer should consider SAP PI 7.5.

'As a consequence, compared to previous releases, the standard installation of SAP PI 7.5 and higher does no longer install a dual-stack system, but consists of two installation procedures: one for a separate ABAP stack and one for a separate Java stack'

    Hello Juan,

There is no "as usual dual stack" installation available for SAP Netweaver 7.5 system. Its highly recommended to go for single stack.

If you still want to go for Dual stack option, then you need to separate the ABAP stack and JAVA stack. You need to install ABAP and Java systems in different SID. Please go through the below document for more info on this -
