Hi All
I am a newbie in the world of Data Governance(Profiling). I was trying out the profiling option with some sample data in the SAP Information Steward tool. But I do have a doubt in the value displayed under the "Value" (in Distribution tab/Option) in the Profiling results as shown below in the following image(highlighted in the right):-
My "Adrs" field contains three digits numeric code values(no text field) and there are no data having 999Then why '999' is displayed there?
Please help me in understanding the concept
Hi Maity,
999 is the match pattern for 3 digit code in your data.
Generally when we do match pattern for any digits in profiling we use '9'
Ex: 10 digit mobile number should contain only 1 to 9 numeric data then pattern would be '9999999999'
Hope you got it.
Regards
Eliza

Hi Arun
Could you please help me out with the steps to do Data profiling in BODSI am unaware.I googled it ,but it showing info related to SAP Information Steward alone.I Guess Profiler server is required to be created for this option. But i have not implemented this in sap bods yet, just created a connection using the CMC,and sql server and using that. Please help out or do i need to create the profiler repo now( i might not have permissions to do that)
Thank you
Very Simple Moumita.
Import dbo.AC_COUNTRIES in any of the created datastores which is pointing to SQL Server DB i guess
Once imported click on View Data. Go to Column Profile Tab and select the ADDRS column for viewing Top n rows and click on Update. It will give you Data profiling statistics on the ADDRS column.
