What is the role of responsible cost center in an order & how is it useful?

In an order in additional data tab there is a field called responsible cost center, can anybody tell me in what way is it useful in an order?

You might be knowing that in Work Order:

• The Cost center in Locations tab and in Settlement rule is from the Equipment(or FLocn) masterdata.
• The Responsible cost center in the Addldata tab is from the Main Work center masterdata.
