Test confirmation by user

Hello,

we are using Solution Manager 7.1 for incident management.

Our current procedure looks like:

Incident --> Change Request --> Change Document

It works like our old 7.0 but we cannot get Key-Users to confirm the tests.

Currently, they can log in and view only their incidents (they see no Change Documents).

Is there any way to let the Users also confirm the tests of their change documents after the test?

The example users provided by the installation (IM_CREAT, IM_PROC....) do not provide any solution.

Any other role than we are using right now will let the users work with the change documents rather then only letting them confirm the test.

HI Philips,

Additionally, the authorization object B_USERSTAT and CRM_ORD_PR, CRM_ORD_OP is the key here.

You must need to check whether the users had appropriate values in these objects.

Also , if the testers are assigned as message processors then they might not confirm the test transactions.

Check below note for same

SAP note 1755271 - Message Processor cannot change the incident status to Confirmed or Withdrawn.

Hi Philipp,

this is normal requirement and can be easily met in standard with authorization.

What i understand is user only have access to incident management and this is the root cause for the issue.

We have authorization concept based upon Transaction type and status wise in Solman ITSM/ChaRM

this means you can assign a copy of TESTER role to your end users as they are performing testing etc

Thank you, I did not know these CM-* Roles also existed (was looking for more IM-*).

I created a test user and it looks like this could work.

But like Rishav has stated below, I will have to configure the authorization objects as the test user cannot see any current change document.

Hi Philipp,

these roles are functionality specific so it depends upon how you have setup your authorization concept

you can also have a merged single role by IM and CM as per your requirement.

The authorization object is common for IM and CM as it comes from SAP CRM on which ITSM/ChaRM depends upon.
