Simultaneous production orders (discrete manufacturing)

Hi everybody,

I have internally manufactured products A and B. Product B is used on the BOM of A.

I need to plan the production order of B and A to be produced simultaneously.

Anybody has any idea to achieve this?

Thank you all.

Best regards,

Nacho

Hi Nacho

You can use special procurement '52 Direct production / collective order' for component B. That way, system will create a production order of component B that will be linked to the production order of product A.

Hi Nacho,

     1)  Make Part "B" as Phantom Assembly in material master mm02 - mrp 2 - E 50 and create the order of "A". Order will not be created for B automatically A can be produced and B can be consumed.

     2) Or dont use scheduling parameters. Make it empty.

     3) Or set ROP or demand creation for part A. B order automatically will be created.

Hello,

Do you mean production order for A and B should start simultaneously?

In this case you can use the lead time offset functionality of BOM.

Please refer SAP help link on it,

Entering a Lead-Time Offset - BOMs (PP-BD-BOM) - SAP Library

Hi Brahmankar,

Yes, I meant that both production orders should start simultaneously.

The link you gave me refers to the finish date of the B and the start date of the A.

Thank you anyways.

Best regards,

Nacho

Hello,

In BOM of product A maintain negative lead time offset for product B. And check the requirement dates of A and B.

Please refer this wiki page,
