Handling Unit issue

Dear all,

I am trying to do the goods issue for a material and I am facing the following error

"No HUs have been transferred for material material plant storage location"

How do I go ahead. Please guide me.

Hello Lucas,

Please check the storage location being used in delivery.

Storage location being used in delivery is relevant for HUM, therefore you cannot do PGI without specifying HUs.

You can check whether SL is relevant for HU or not at following spro path:

Logistics General -> Handling Unit Management -> Basics -> Materials Management -> Inventory Management -> HU requirement for Storage Locations and Default Values for Deliveries

In this case, you need to change the storage location in delivery which is not relevant for HU. Then you can do PGI (provided material stock is available in new SL), else you can do packing in HU and can do PGI.)

Hello Nikesh,

Yes the storage location is HU managed. What I did was, unchecked the 'HU Required' checkbox and delivered the material since I wanted to remove the material with out packing and then now I again re-activated it.

Please check SAP note 1146530.

The standard practice is every plant must have at-least two storage locations (One for activating HUs + Other blank).

Hi Siva,

I have not done any packing. I pick the quantity and try to the goods issue. I get this error.

In fact if I just want to remove the material without any packing, is there any way for this?
