Open DSO View using BW DataSource

Hello,

     I am looking to create an Open DSO View in eclipse based on a BW DataSource.  When I attempt to specify the source system nothing is available.  What is necessary to configure and make available the Same BW System as a Source System that I am creating the Open DSO View on?

Thanks for any help,

Hi all, the problem is when trying to create Open DSO in HANA and specify datasource you u need to first specify a bw source system  and none appear available for selection in HANA.

In HANA Where do i add the current bw system as an available source system?

Thanks for your help

Hi Kenneth,

                Please check my previous reply. You can do this in RSA1 transaction.

Thanks for the follow on replies.  My Source System in RSA1 (which is a BW System) is configured as a source system, but not visible as a source system in Eclipse when I try to create the Open ODS View.

Let me know if this makes sense.  Thanks

I know this will be very basic which you would have not missed it. But try "*", then see, what you get.

hi Former Member

       Go to RSA1 transaction and check if your data source is active. You can also check if your source system is available or create one in RSA1 -> Left side click on 'Source Systems'. Right click on BW folder and create.Before creating check if the source system is already available.

Hope this helps.

Goto DS->extraction->Direct Access->Allowed.

Hi, There are many DS available as Direct Access.  In order to see the DS you must first specify the system.  I have no systems configured and would like to set this up.  Where do I configure the systems?   Thanks!

Datasource belong to a source systems, that means you should have system source configured. It is just some authorization missing.

Check su53 once when you are not able see the source system in eclipse.
