Hi Shiv,

For the first one, you can use strategy 40 and if you want the cumulative planned order, then you use the periodic lot size, that will cumulate the requirements and create only one planned order.

For the second scenario, why don't you want the stock not to be considered for the MRP planning?

What is the business reason behind it?

Hello

For the first scenario, you can simply use planning strategy 40 (see SAP Help for details).

The second scenario is more complicated. You can use for example, planning strategy 11, where system will consider only the PIRs to plan, but then sales orders are not considered as requirements. As a workaround, you can try to use BAdI MD_CHANGE_MRP_DATA to make sales orders relevant to MRP.

Hi,

1st Case for material A = With strategy 40  two types of planned orders will be created . One without sale order reference & another one with sale order reference. I need collective planned order without any reference of sale order.

2nd case for material B=  you are right 11 strategy will not help. Is there any chance in customization for this requirement.

Shiv Kumar

You are mistaken. Standard Strategy 40 only creates one type of planned order. In general, Strategy 40 is a Make To Stock strategy.  The standard Sales Doc requirements class is 050.

I need collective planned order without any reference of sale order.

This is the Standard Strategy 40 behavior

Hi,

I have corrected the item category & req. class combination.

Strategy 40 will give me planned order for requirement which is greater between sale order and PIR but my requirement is to get planned order= PIR+ Sale order- stock..

Hi,

Strategy 40 will also not worked for as my requirement to get planned order= Sale order+PIR-stock but 40 strategy propose planned order as per requirement whichever is greater between sale order & PIR

Yes, this is the expected behavior for strategy 40.

Shiv,

...but my requirement is to get planned order= PIR+ Sale order- stock....

There is no standard SAP strategy that meets this requirement.

You could attempt to build your own custom strategy via configuration.  Alternately, you could resort to enhancement(s).  Domicilium Draconum

Hi,

For material A stock will  considered in calculation for net requirements & it will purpose collective planned orders PIR+Sale Order- Stock (100+100-50)= 150

For material B stock will not considered in calculation for net requirements & it will purpose collective planned order PIR+Sale order (100+100)= 200
