Standard Workcenters in custom Workcenter view

Dear Colleagues,

I'm trying to create a custom Workcenter view and assign standard Workcenters to it (like gathering together Employees, Competitors and Territories).

For this I created custom WCF successfully, then I created three ViewSwitches. I dragged and dropped appropriate workcenters (COD_Employees.WCVIEW.uiwocview, COD_Competitor_WCV.WCVIEW.uiwocview and COD_Territory_WCVIEW.WCVIEW.uiwocview accordingly) into each. Saved and activated. After that I assigned this custom WCF and all three subsequent views under it to my role.

First issue: this custom WCF is not visible in HTML5, but visible in Silverlight. Logged off and logged in back couple times. Probably some refresh should be performed on the backend side. Will wait for a while.

Second issue: even in Silverlight only first view is visible. It means there is no submenu to select any other view assigned to the workcenter. Doesn't matter which one I put as the first - it's allways the first only visible (I played with any of those either Employees or Competitors or Territories). I moved them around - always the first one.

I would appreciate any inputs. All those standard workcenters are in place and accessible in standard workcenter views (like under People, Competitors or Sales respectively).

2 inputs:

1. Delete your silverlight and Briowser cache and log in again.

2. It could be possible(Not sure- give it a try) that you would need SCOD_<Viewname>, So see if there is another workcenter view with SCOD as prefix.

Let me know.

Saurabh

Hi Saurabh,

Seems that browser cache cleanup (I used incognito mode in Chrome) made it work. Working with C4C I used to the fact that any development is applied on the fly. Bad habit. And here it didn't work 🙂 Thanks!

BTW, I didn't find any SCOD* artifact in UI Designer in Configuration explorer at all. Plenty of COD*, but no SCOD*. What are they for?
