Hello BPC Experts,
My exisitng BPC customer is interested to understand if others are using BPC for promotion planning (not only sales planning)?
So, have you implemented BPC for promotion planning anywhere? On HANA version? I would be especialy interested if such implementations exists in fast moving consumer goods industry.
I appreciate any comments on this

Hi Laura,
I'd guess you are talking about marketing promotion planning.
I was involved in such implementation in a big CPG company 4-5 years back. It was serving customer well, but what I didn't like is that it had a ton of script BADIs. Reason was that many promotion campaign calculations can't be expressed in BPC scripts, something like promotion cannibalization.

if you mean HR planning, yes it is possible. Here are some considerations:
- Security especially if there are other models in the environment.
- Should there be a separate job title dimension outside of the employee dimension
- How to handle OT, bonus and payroll tax calculations
- Reconciliation of actuals between GL and payroll system ... ie.: payroll accruals, how payroll calendar\months sync with financial calendar
There might be other ones as well but these are usual discussion points when creating an HR app in BPC.
