Inspection plan not assigned to inspection lot

Hello Experts,

I am getting message when i am trying to click on usage decision in QA32 transaction as below-

Characteristic results cannot be recorded for inspection lot XXXXXX

I see that my Inspection lot is not in released status.If i click on change inspection lot and go to inspection specifications i notice-

assigned specifications are blank.

Usage is 9 however in my inspection plan i have maintained 5.

When i manually try try to change Usage to 5 from 9 i get the message-

Specification(s) not yet assigned.

If i manually click on Task List/Spec.my inspection plan gets assigned to inspection lot and lot status is set to REL.

I am working with inspection type 17 for EWM QIE. I have checked 100% inspection in material master.Sample size in inspection lot is 0.I am no sure if that is an isuse.I am not an expert in QM so please suggest.

Can someone help me why inspection plan is not getting assigned to inspection lot automatically ?

Hello Khushboo,

As per standard SAP the system behavior is correct i.e. In quality management we have multiple types of inspections (While receiving material from Vendor (01 type) , Goods issue inspection (02) and Inprocess inspection (03) and Goods receipt inspection from Production (04) etc..

so for each inspection type may varies the different quality checkup that we will define in the inspection plan i.e. with inspection plan usage combination we will define in the inspection type configuration

according to that system will refer from the inspection lot what is the inspection type and usage then in these combination any inspection plan details exist or not, If inspection plan is there with usage combination then default it will get the inspection lot status as REL otherwise the status will become the CRTD

if CRTD status is there then we have ensure the below things

1. Ensure the inspection plan with usage as per the inspection type configuration

2.if plan is there then ensure the validity of the plan

Hi,

As per my recent practice

for CRTD CHCR-

1) There is no plan availability at the time of Inspection lot selection.

2) 'Insp with Task list ' field check  in material Master QM view --> Inspection plan available but "Automatic assignment" field Uncheck in Material master QM view.

for CHAR RESULTS cannot be recorderd-

1) Inspection plan is available--->'Insp with Task list ' field check  in material Master QM view--->"Automatic assignment" field check in Material master QM view----> but  'Check Chars' field 'UNCHECK'.

Hi,

Inspection plan ( Task list)  with Group number has been available,

1)but The same task list Group counter 'Usage' assignment to Insp.lot task list assignment Usage in QA02.

2)  no assignment of Master Insp.char's in the Operation level for the Task list.

Please verify
