MII 15.1 updateAsync

Does anyone know what happened to updateAsync applet methods? Evaluating MII 15.1 moving from 12.2 and just realized that the method no longer exists!

iGrid.updateAsync();

These methods were introduced somewhere around 12.1 to do async updates of applets allowing for the browser and javascript processes to continue without waiting for applet update to complete. Very useful and now embedded in many mii apps within our portfolio.

For those on MII 15.1, have you replaced this method with something else? I'm thinking this is a bug....wanted to confirm with user community first.
