Hi,

Is it possible to include manufacturing lead time in Supply Planning? If yes, how can we achieve this? Is there any standard attribute for this?

Regards

Hi Sourojit,

In one of the webinars, I came to know that production lead times are planned for future enhancement by SAP. As of now only transport lead times are supported, which I hope you must be using already.

Hello Ana,

We are using IBP 6.1 and are trying to use the production lead time in Multi-level supply planning, but it is not included in the SCM operators when the BoM is exploded in a single location, we expected that the component requirement dates are offset with the production lead time of the parent. I.e. in production source header we indicate the LOCID, PRDID, SOURCEID, and we entered a value for PLEADTIME. When we run the unconstrained D/S without shortages operator, we see the BoM is correctly exploded, but the component requirement dates are not offset. The parent and its components have the same LOCID, meaning we explode the BoM in a single location. Can  you explain us how the PLEADTIME attribute is used by the SCM operators?

Hello Yoka,

Multi-Level Supply Planning (IBP for Supply) in 6.1 does not support production lead-times.

It is on the road-map for this year for Unconstrained Heuristic and Optimizer.

The attribute PLEADTIME on SOURCEPRODUCTION table is used for Inventory Optimization. (IBP for Inventory)

We are interested to learn more about your specific industry requirements around Production Lead-Times.

My email address if you would like to discuss:
