Migration of buying center in C4C ?

Hi experts,

I have been able to download the template for the migration of Buying Centers (EN_Buying_Centers_v_0.xml), but I cannot find how to upload the data in C4C ?

Can someone point me to the right way to import this data in C4C once the xml template is filled with the data ?

Hi all,

for your information I found out the scoping item that enables migration of buying Centers, it is the Lead Management.

Don't ask me why, but with just this item selected you have access to migration of buying centers, you don't need opportunites or quotes or anything else.

Hi Anurag,

we found that enabling opportunities is not enough. After several options were marked to be in the scope, it worked. Nevertheless, we are still not sure, which is the minimum scope to enable to migration of buying centers. Would be great to get an answer on this. Could it be that at least Account management has also to be in the scope? As of my knowledge, this is another prerequisite.

Hi Christophe,

Please follow the below steps to get into the migration workbench of Buying Centers

- Go to Business Configuration work center

- Select Implementation Project view

- Select Open Activity List

- Navigate to Integrate and Extend tab

- Select All Activities

- Search for Migration of Buying Centers

- Select Migrate buying centers using the migration tool

If this activity is not available then you have to scope the question in project scope by selecting Edit Project Scope..<..Review Questions..<..Built-in Services and Support..<..Business Configuration..<..Data Migration..<..Buying Centers

Hi Anurag,

Thank you so much for the answer, I cannot see the migration of buying center as activity in the activity list, because it is not in the scope of the project.

However, when I open the project scope, the migration of buying center is greyed and I cannot update it, can you advise me on how to update this question ?

Hi Christophe,

Since Buying Center is part of opportunity management, hence you have to scope opportunities. After scoping of opportunities, you should be able to scope Buying Center
