Error in updating DTW

Former Member

Hi,

I'm using SAP 9.1 PL 5, I'm using DTW to transfer data, what I did I chose updata existing data, but when I did it, it gave me error: this entry already exists in the following tables (odbc-2035)65171, and can not find this object in b1 application defined. I used txt file and the script I used last time it worked fine, but I found out that I need to remove the " " from description, but when I did, it gave me 2 errors as I mentioned above.

Thank you for your help.

since u r using txt, (tsv), you will make sure this is no tab characters inside ur file, and I think since u remove all ", then u can not have any line feeder too.

anyway, for DTW, the data has to be carefully checked. You might want to split ur file into small piece, and then u can find which record causing the problem.

Hi Frank, I already did some changes:

- I split only data that (16 down from 59 data error), failed with message "this entry already exists in the following tables (odbc-2035)65171", what I did I copied and paste directly into notepad, instead using Excel and save the file in .txt, but still error, and I tried to sign out and sign back into DTW, still error.

I forgot to add info that this is for OACT (chart of account) data.

Please advice.

Thank you.

Perhaps explain what you are trying to update, and post a sample of your file?

Hi Julie,

I am trying to update OACT chart of account table, and the sample file is attached

file NewQueryOACT_6 is the file that used to work just fine, I used add & update data with this

But when I fixed the data with the "  " on description, resulting the error (this entry already exists in the following tables (odbc-2035)65171), and the data is NewQueryOACT_15.

Thank you.

You mentioned OACT. this field will need to use the account system code, which is something like_SYSxxxxxxxxx.

Hi All Experts,

Thank you very much for your help and reply. I already solved the problems. I just import the working data, and just fix with the " " manually from SAP, it's a small data only 75, I did them all really quick.

Thank you again
