Value mapping tables versus fix values mapping tables

Hi Experts,

Can I use the similar functionality of fix values tables with that of value mapping tables?

Most of the cases we are using fix values for one to one values like for source 1, target A.... source 2, target B.... source 3, target C etc.

Can I achieve the same functionality by using value mapping tables under one value mapping group?
