Projected Inventory

Hi All,

I need a report that cater projected inventory level by SKU level. How can I retrieved it from APO? Or, there's other transaction that could also trigger the same information?

Thanks,

Christine

Hi

Assuming you are using SNP or at least planning books to read order based data (order objects in liveCache), you have key figure called "stock on hand (projected)". When you go to planning book default/start macro is triggered to show this in real time.

Same way you can create a planning book (copy of standard) and run a macro (as part of job) to calculate this on the desired level. Thereafter you can pull the data to BW for reporting. Make sure default/start macro should be switched off for this planning book.

Hi Rahul,

In planning book I can only see one item at a time for the stock on hand. What if I want to see projected inventory for all items? How should do it in planning book?

Run a macro in planning book: is that means I need to select all items in "Selection Window" before I run macro, so that BW captured the data?

Thanks,

Christine

Hi Christine,

For this point if you want to see in real time then you need to load all materials and drill-down accordingly.

For below point I hope you are aware how background job is created and how we select different materials in the same or execute for all.

In this case you need to:

  • define activity with macro
  • define job for this activity and level, etc.
  • define process chain to execute them when required
  • capture the data (load) in BW cube accordingly.
