Archiving table EQUZ

Hi experts,

as our SAP is runinng for few years already and we have quite a lot of equipments table EQUZ becomes bigger and bigger. As it takes more and more time to select data and save data in IE02 we want to shirnk number of data in that table.

We are interested in to have just last 3 years of history, so I would like to ask whether there is any option to archive just EQUZ table?

I know SAP provides PM_EQUI object, but it also deletes EQUI tabale with master data. In our case equipments are still valid, however old history is not needed.

Do you know any way to achive somethng like that?
