Field Formatting - expand to fit horizontally renders multiple rows in Excel

Hello Experts,

I have used the option of 'Tight Horizontal' to display multiple lines in my Crystal report for Enterprise tool.

It works well as desired but when I export it to excel it renders that data into multiple rows.

I want that those multiple lines should fit in a single row in excel.

I want the row 7 and 8 should come in Row 7 alone.

My output looks like the one attached below :-

Appreciate your help.

Regards

Sam

Hi Desai,

Fields that 'grow' are merged into multiple rows when exported to excel - this is the default behaviour.

There isn't a workaround, unfortunately,

Hi Abhilash,

If that is how its default behavior then fine , but the column next to this should also occupy those many lines since they both are in the same row.

But the 2nd column remains in 1 row only unlike the 1st column which splits across multiple lines.

Then my final output looks bad as shown in attached image :-

Kindly suggest how to handle this.

Regards

Samreen

Could you attach a screenshot of the Design page of the report as well?

The second column remains in one row because it only has one row of text.
