If you can't find in OVM1 you cannot change the response of the message via customizing, it is probably hardcoded in a program.

Hello,

I am testing "Batch management" functionality for QM users and am not acquainted with SD and LE. My plan was to move this two message one step ahead. That messages to pop up when they save outbound delivery. In standard procedure users can see this messages when they post goods issue and I didn't now that is standard procedure 🙂

I have saved outbound delivery with material and quantity and without restricted batch (that is plan) but without system messages that something's not right and we are now at beginning of my question "Managing VL605 & VL609 system message"

ps thanks for Your helps 🙂

Hello Kosta,

Standard SAP will give in-completion message at the time of saving / PGI of the Delivery document. or when user check the in-completion, system will generate the list of fields yet to be entered.

Should you need a warning / error message while the user is processing the delivery, you will have to go for an enhancement. Speak to your technical consultant to check the possibility to implement a custom check (in User exit or BADI) at some screen call events.

Thanks,

As Jignesh mentioned, what is the business requirement for changing the message from Error to Warning. It looks, based in the item category (T.code 0VLP) definitions, these error messages are being populating. You can check/uncheck relevant boxes here so that the message will not come during delivery processing. Then you can use incompletion procedure to provide warning message if the corresponding fields miss values during document processing.

Hello Kosta,

You can see both the below system messages in Transaction SE91:

VL605 - The batches are not defined for delivery item &

VL609 - Delivery has not yet been put away / picked (completely)

But changing them to error messages may not be possible. I would suggest you to discuss with technical teams before proceeding with any changes.

Would you like to let us know the Business requirements to modify the said messages?

Thanks,

Jignesh Mehta
