Hi ,

We are using standard CLASSASGN and VALUATION entity in MM for assigning Class and Characteristic value of class in UI.

Whenever I change the characteristic value and click check ,the following message appear.

Warning

Material XXX Attribute Weight unit changed from  to KG in reuse active area - Display Help

Warning 

Material 1XXX Attribute Material Group changed from 260 to 122 in reuse active area - Display Help

Warning 

Material XXX: Attribute Changed by changed from ALEMASTER to USERNAM in reuse active area - Display Help

Characteristic Valuation (Classification LENGTH/001/0000/xxx/001 created in reuse active area - Display Help   Warning   Characteristic Valuation (Classification WIDTH/001/0000/xxx/001 created in reuse active area 

This warning message is displayed only when characteristic value are changed. When other entity are changed , this message does not appear.

After the final approval , other entities in UI , material and purchtxt, is completely wiped out of UI.

Is there any configuration related to Classasgn and Valuation entity that we are missing which leads to this sort of warning and wiping the entire data ?

Divya,

Please let us know what exactly you are trying to do assign the classification to materials or creating the classification  via MDG UI.

Hi Shankar,

I am Divya's colleague.We are facing the following below issue:

• We are trying to Change an already existing Material in MDG 8 UI.
• In the Change Request,we are just modifying any of the Classification characteristic values like  like Bore ,Outside Diameter etc.

 

• Then we are Submitting the CR and doing Final Check approve.
• After Final Check Approve while opening the change request,we are seeing that the data from MDG gets wiped out.
• The message that appears is:

          Entity $$ of Entity Type Material will be deleted with this change request.

• However in the active area the data is getting saved.
• Then  again if we open the same Material in the Change Form,and try to edit the material,the below warning messages pop up,'
• Characteristic Valuation (Classification ITEM_CODE: Attribute Characteristic Value changed from 15 to 16 in reuse active area - Display Help
• 

Can you please help us to find out what is causing the issue ?

AVIK,

Please check the characteristic values are getting generated along with material in the MDG tables in respective tables after creating the CR.

also delete the existing entries in from the tables and try again,further go to CT04 tcode check the validity of the Characteristic and values exist.
