Could you Enlighten me on What does Include & Exclude means for Infotype 221
and Could you explain me in Brief when we use YANA & YAWA

Thank you.
Ramya
Hi Ramya,
YANA and YAWA simply put helps in making last minute adjustments for last year non cash payable benefits like eg sodxo etc .
YANA helps including the amounts into SAP without any tax calculation and YAWA with tax calculations. The best part about these adjustments is that it does not trigger retro in normal payroll and processed separately.
So as a user, you need to maintain the amounts and the wage types in these subtypes and the amounts would be processed by the workbench which will thereby update the Payroll results with run type C.The wage types entered on Infotype 0221 are stored in the results table (payroll table RT) of this payroll adjustment result. The YTD in the cumulation tables (CRT, TCRT) are updated accordingly.
Now pls bear in mind that these wont trigger any payments to enployees and so if you want to make any payments, the same would need to be done outside the SAP system.
Unlike subtype YANA, year-end adjustment subtype YAWA performs tax calculation for the adjustment amounts. Therefore, the total net of any subtype YAWA adjustment must not be negative.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Shine

hi Joseph,
Thanks a lot for the detailed explanation.
last year, we had deducted wrong amounts for the medical plan, can i make adjustments to it using yana or yawa ? from your explanation since adjustments wont generate any payment, i have to process it outside sap. i.e, adjusting the wage types and performing third party remittances though finance team.
please guide me in this scenario. and correct me if i am wrong
Regards,
Ramya.
Hello
Please read standard SAP help document on your discussion query.
I suggest you need to work out scenarios in some test system so as to understand the concept completely.
