Hi All,
We're currently assessing the options of middleware usage between SAP ECC and Custom Mobile Application (non-SAP solution).
So far, we're considering to use of SAP Netweaver Gateway & SAP PI as middleware.
I also found the following thread discussing the middleware between SAP ECC and Custom Mobile Application.
The thread suggesting to use SAP Netweaver Gateway as the middleware, instead of SAP PI.
My question is:
Thank you,
Yosua

Hi Shaik,
Thank you for your reply. It is very helpful.
SAP PI for Connecting Web and Mobile Applications
The above link make me confident that it is feasible to use SAP PI as middleware.

Regarding link below, I think it is not related to SAP PI.
Need your help to clarify, if you think otherwise.
Many Thanks Shaik.
Hi Yosua,
SAP NetWeaver Gateway is an integration environment enabling connections to SAP software from mobile devices, Web applications, and social and collaborative platforms while SAP BusinessObjects Data Services is a data integration tool tuned primarily for batch data transfer and for extract, transform and load processes. So SAP gateway is the preferred option for connecting mobile application with SAP.

Harish

Hi Harish,
Thank you for your response.
We are trying to use SAP PI as general middleware for our systems.
It is because we have several system and it might need to connect non-SAP (external system) to non-SAP (mobile) system.
Hence, we need to check whether it feasible and whether the performance are acceptable if we are using SAP PI.
