Workflow task description text not alligned in EP inbox

Hi Experts,

In my custom task description, i am showing some tabular style information. For this i have used a multi line container element.

Below is the run time workflow log view.

When this is viewed in portal inbox, the space in between columns is getting squeezed. it is not considering those extra spaces created due to data type of columns. it is keeping only one space in between column values.

Hi Manoj,

What if you display them in XML of the task. Ask your UWL counterpart who created the XML for this task to display and he can manipulate the same before displaying the task ?

the other options i can see is to call a module pool screen from workitem , which will in turn call ITS(Internet transaction Server) and display the task. But that is very ugly solution.

Please see if task XML can modify this.

Thanks for your quick reply.

I have already tried displaying it in HTML table format using tags. HTML Tags are not supported in UWL.

I have tried passing tabs using double comma(,,) in my multi line workflow element and it is creating space. But now problem is column values are dynamic. So not able to adjust space in between columns.

I want to understand why uwl is not considering those spaces in backed system.

Hi Manoj,

that's a bummer, It's been a while since I worked with UWL and was hoping this may have changed.

Sorry I can't suggest much else. I once built a completely custom UWL replacement, but that's probably overkill.
