Hi ALL,
I have a question about Sale Order Creation. We want to create Different Delivery Date in One Sale Orders. Note that ALL the material are available. We want to schedule the delivery in different dates to balance the workload of warehouse.
Could we create sale order with Different delivery dates?
If yes, will we use the VL01N to create the outbound basing on delivery date?
Hi
In that case you have to maintain multiple schedule lines as per delivery dates and system will create multiple deliveries as per schedule lines dates. This is normal delivery process. What you need to do is go to schedule line screen and enter multiple schedule lines with required dates.

We have Different Delivery Date in One Sale Orders
We want to schedule the delivery in different dates
Your post is not clear. When you say different delivery dates, obviously, you will have multiple deliveries.

Hi,
Did you try with the below option of Requested delivery date as change to month(M)
change it to "M" try to do partial delivery with desired date within the same month (stock is already confirmed)
Hope it will work.
Thanks,

Hello,
If you want to have a single order item you must use schedule lines to define several delivery dates. Else you could have several sales order items with the same material but different delivery dates...

Hi Fortian,
It's not single order item, what I means Each Sale Order lines will have different dates. I will enter Delivery Date by "First date", right? Pls see in the picture I attached. delivery-date-screen-shot.png
Furthermore, if I update the "First date", when Outbound is created, will they separate by delivery date?
Rgs,
Where is actually the issue that you face. You could just have tested in those 5 days to create 1 sales order with 3 items where each has a different date.
In general the first delivery date that you already showed in your screenshot is open for maintenance. It is defaulted from the header but can be changed individually, otherwise this whole column would not be needed in the screen.
A test would easily show if SAP gives you an error message or lets you save the order without any restriction.
Then you usually continue with the next standard step. Just imagine a person who does all day creation of deliveries would need to check the detail of a sales order first to decide with what transaction he has to continue. Does this sound logical? Not to me. Those guys often do not even have access to a sales order as they shall not see price information. So they can just use their usual transactions to continue with delivery creation which is either create individual with VL01N or for multiple a wider range with VL10
Hi Jurgen,
Thanks for detail answer. the issue I concern here is that when creating different date in one sale order, will it be understood while creating the outbound?
Let's say I have 3 different delivery date: 15/Feb, 20/Feb, 22/Feb. On 15/Feb, my warehouse will create Outbound, will SAP allow to create outbound for lines having First date on 15/Feb ONLY?
test it!
Why should SAP ignore what the user entered with blood sweat and tears before?
Requested delivery date is entered in the header and that's what drives the rest. This information can be easily found in Google. Or even just hit F1 on the field.
If you are not an SD specialist then instead of SCN please reach to your local SAP support or your supervisor with such questions. They should advise you on the correct procedure for your company.
