Dear experts

after taking ud(put lot on hold ) i want to do again to do the results recording for same lot.is it possible. there are three options in valuation code like accepted, rejected and not valuated .if i choose the option not valuated  can i do the results recording for same inspection lot again.

Hi Babudevang,

Normally if you have done UD, that means the initial inspection lot is completed and it will not allow you to do result recording again, unless you have LT MIC. Please make sure that while doing UD, you have not forced closed the LT MIC's else, you may not be allowed to record results only for those MIC. But I am not sure what is the process you wish to adopt it.

Now please can you confirm if you are working with stock posting relevant inspection lots or not. If it is stock posting relevant, then as soon as you create the inspection lot, your stock is under quality stock. Now, here you have UD options like below -

UD = A [To unrestricted use stock with posting proposal VMENGE01]

UD = R [To blocked stock with posting proposal VMENGE04]

Generally for rework process, if there is some issue with the initial inspection lot, UD = R is selected, and stock is posted to blocked stock. Now, if you have added inspection type 08 to your material, then for the same stock, you can use MvT 349 to move the blocked stock back to Quality stock again. Which in turn will create a inspection lot 08XXXXXXXXXX. Now for this inspection lot, which is having same inspection plan picked as the initial inspection lot, can be result recorded again. After that you can choose UD = A or R.

This 2nd option provides more flexibility for the inspection lot to thoroughly retest again and double check all ST and LT characteristics.

Hi Babu,

After UD you cant perform the result recording.

Please refer SAP note 74638:Results recording after usage decision.

Also in case of long term insepction characterstics there is possiblity to change the result.
