SAP Disclosure : Publishing, Auto Content Refresh,SAML

Hi Friends,

I just have some basic questions on Content Refresh, SAML and Publishing in SAP Disclosure Management.

1. Can we configure auto content refresh. In other words, can I schedule any job kind of thing to enable auto content refresh

2. When should we go for SAML configuration in our SAP DM Landscape? Do we really require it?

3. Publishing - We basically send the output of the reports and chapters to a designated network location.

a) I could see the relevance of task engine in configuring settings of publishing. But when I go to see the log files of Task Engine, it is disabled. Is this by design? Screenshot attached below.

b) Publishing Tab - I did the configuration, setup a shared folder and gave all the access to this folder and finally mentioned the network address in the publishing directory text box.

Password - Is this the password going to remain common to all the zip files going to the designated folder?

c) When I try to publish any period and its reports and chapters, I get an error and when I see the error log - it says:

Ans: As of now we don't have auto content refresh next support pack SP07 SAP releasing                    

         Auto/Scheduling the Content Refresh

2. When should we go for SAML configuration in our SAP DM Landscape? Do we really require it?

Ans: In the Business Scenario client using Enterprise Portal and they want to use Single Signon u have go with SAML and EP this when refresh datasource/Report/Chapter system doesn't prompt the user and password.

1. When are we expecting SP07 to be released? Moreover, Can we change the values of BEX query variable while doing content refresh?

2. As I understand from your reply, the Disclosure Management login will be automated by implementing SAML. What about the datasource credentials while refreshing chapters/reports?

For ex : SAP BW,SAP BPC.

Ans: May be Sep'16..! you meant to say Bex query variable change we can change...?? you can maintiain Standard hiearchy or Characterstic hiearchy in BEx query level once you can run the Query promots variable filters selection

Ex:- Entity : 1000

       Year: 2016

Ans: yes can automated SAML and Enterprise Portal also.......If you can refresh the chapter and report it's depened to DM datasource refresh.

If user going to refresh DM datasource usertypes has beeen two types

1. Basic Authentication: when user do the refresh chapter/report prompts the Username and Password.

2. Active Directory: when user do the refresh chapter/report Username and Password.will not ask

3. SAML Authentication: When user do the content refresh datasources DM and BW username and password will not prompt.
