Mvt 531 not appearing for Bi Product in Auto GR in confirmation

Dear Experts ,

I am facing one issue for Bi product , -- Mvt type 101 is appearing instead of 531 during Auto GR in Confirmation

I have done all settings for Bi Product scenario .

We have Auto GR during Confirmation .

While doing the confirmation -- Auto Goods Receipt is happening for the BI Products ,

The Bi Products are being produced , but with Movement type 101 --- Instead of Mvt type 531

Please advice

Is it by-product or co-product?

Check the setting in OPKA

Enhancement LOG_PP_CI_1, which enables an automatic goods receipt for co-products.

Dear Brahmankar ,

It is Bi Product -- ( Material with Nil Value -- 0.001)

In OPKA all settings are maintained

have enabled enhancement LOG_PP_CL_1 due to which Auto GR of Co Products are happening

But main concern is why system taking mvt type 101 instead of 531 for Auto GR of Components

If it is co-product then movement type will be 101. pPease check the BOM item details co-product tick is activated or in material master MRP 2 view.

Dear Brahmankar ,

For our scenario it is BI-Product -- Components with very little value (0.0001 SAR)

so mvt type should be 531 --- instead of 101 ,

All BOM / Material Master all settings correctly maintained .

how-ever as you adviced for co-product mvt type will be 101 ;

My understanding -- for coproduct or bi-product the movement type should be 531 only not 101 ,

Please re-confirm

For byproduct movement type should be 531 and for co-product it should be 101.

Hi,

Do following settings.

1. Material Master- MRP 2 View- Backflush=02

2. BOM - Item Data- Production location

3. Work center- Backflush=X

After setting create production order & see in confirmation goods movements window.

           use -Ve sign In front of Bi product in BOM. Means By Product quantity should be in -ve sign in BOM

In Bom all settings are correct neg sign added , \

So Bi product is getting generated correctly

but main concern it should be produced with 531 not with 101 mvt type

         Please make sure  co-product check in MRP-2 view should be uncheck. Also check BOM basic data view for co-product check.

Hello Mohd,

Co product Movement type is 101 and By-Product movement type is 531, and It is Standard SAP behavior its not depended on the Quantity size.

When you select the Co product in material master, you have to select the Co product filed in BOM item otherwise system material as By-product.

Thanks for sharing the excellent document ,

Now its clear the difference between by Product & Co-product from Configuration / Master data setup .

So in my case it is  DIMP scenario

For co-product -- it is working fine and Auto GR is also working fine in Confirmations screen with mvt type 101 ..

For By-Product -- I have only maintained neg sign in BOM & in material master MRP-2 ; i have kept it blank --.

Still i m not getting the mvt type 531 in Auto GR nor in MIGO .

My Scenario is for DIMP (Discrete Industry Mill Product ) -- Fabrication Industry --- > if any comments

Hello Mohd,

By Product has movement type 531 and it will be appear in list at the time of good issue, (If you are doing auto good issue) or Manual good issue against the order.

Co product has movement type 101 (Same like Finished product) and it will show at the time of the auto GR or Manual good receipt against the Order.

By product never appear at the time of Auto GR
