Extend Migration Template for Surcharges

Hello Experts,

As per a business requirement, I have defined a new Item Pricing table under Surcharges with fields Distribution Channel / Product in SAP Business byDesign.

Now, I am trying to use the migration template for Surcharges to do a mass upload of Surcharge price list for our client's system. The issue is that the Surcharge migration template only has certain fields (presumably from the pre-defined Pricing tables) namely Sales Area, Distribution Channel, Buyer, Product category specific and customer group whereas the Product Field is missing as it seems to not take into account any new tables that have been created with other standard fields. The requirement is to extend this migration template to also include Product field to allow mass maintenance of Surcharge. I have been struggling to find a work around for this. Any help is highly appreciated.

Hi Ajith,

Thanks for your response. The point is that the field used here "Product" is not an extension field. I just picked this from the standard field catalog / List a the item level to define the Pricing table - Distribution Channel / Product.

So I don't think that link would be useful.

Unfortunately, we already tried that but did not get a proper response from SAP support. They say that this requirement is not possible without specifying a reason. But to me it does not make sense why it shouldn't be possible to have a standard field in the template when it is possible to add an extension field.

Hi Ankit,

Extension field is added by partner, hence it is allowed to be added to the tempate.

Workaround is you could create extension field, populate this with product data using MDRO and then use this extension field in your template.
