Crystal Runtime Installer No Longer Responding


I'm having some issues installing Crystal Runtime 13.0.18 on a particular 64-bit windows 2008 R2 server that has .NET framework 4.6.2 installed. It simply gets frozen at a particular point and times out.

I've tried running it with msiexec logging enabled but can't see anything obvious, it simply shows Installer is no longer responding. after the line Action start 03:17:37: InstallInitialize. The log file is about 10mb in size when I log everything so I can't attach it but is there anything I should look for in particular? I've also checked windows event logs and nothing is logged there other than the installation initialisation.

Any ideas?

    Hi Xin,

    Try SP 19 and see if that works, if same problem check your AV software, it may be blocking access to something and be sure to install it from a local copy and using the Admin account.
