How to change the default storage category in SAP DMS

               how to change the default storage category in sap DMS.

Hello Varma,

You can define a profile key in Document Management -> General Data -> Define Profile.

For the profile key, in "Determine definitions for applications" you can define the default storage category for every work station application.

You can assign the profile key to a particular security role in "Assign groups/user to the profiles", so all the users having this role assigned to them will get the default storage category.

Please check and if required, involve your SAP Security Consultant for Role part.

Hi Ameya ,

                    Thanks for the reply.

                i have did the same by creating a z profile and assigning it in SPRO->DMS->General data->Define profile .

                But still ,when i am adding the document through the CV01n ,system is taking the old storage(sap-storage) only  .

               OR ,i want to display the pop-up for storage category ,when checking in original .

Hello Varma,

Did you assign the profile to a role ?

Also did you check if that role is assigned to you ? You can check that using transaction SUIM.

It should work if you have done the right settings as explained above.
