Hello Friends,
Have certain doubts about SAP PI Implementation.
This question may sound like very simple, but I actually do not have complete answer for it.
Our Client wants to install SAP PI onto there SAP Landscape.
They would like to know answers to two questions:
Client does not actually wants answer from SAP PI perspective, but from there perspective. As in, what problem they may face(may be while installion etc)
Any answers or suggestions would be literally appreciated.
Regards,
Prerna
Hi Prerna,
what is the best practice for SAP PI Implementation.
This is a huge question, first of all it is very important to follow a correct notation: http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/40a66d0e-fe5e-2c10-8a85-e418b59ab...
Risk and challenges that would be faced while implementing SAP PI
Mainly the main risk it is you will have your integration centralized, if PI is down your connections will be down, however you have a lot benefits to have your integration centralized, it is not maintainable to have several connections via RFC, proxies, files and moreover is less secure. IMO the challenges is to have a basis team prepared to control and improve (sizing and performance) the system with the different SPs.
Regards.
