Material Master - Foreign Trade Country of Origin, affected transactions

Hi Sap GURUS,

I would like to ask of the field for this (HERKL) in foreign trade import of material master data is being used in any other transactions.

Is this mainly for tagging purposes only or will this have any significant effect on processes involving material masterdata?

Also, what document will inherit this country of origin field. I cannot find it in the PO or GR document.
