Material Master - Foreign Trade Country of Origin, affected transactions

Hi Sap GURUS,

I would like to ask of the field for this (HERKL) in foreign trade import of material master data is being used in any other transactions.

Is this mainly for tagging purposes only or will this have any significant effect on processes involving material masterdata?

Also, what document will inherit this country of origin field. I cannot find it in the PO or GR document.

You can check FAQ about MM in note 481600. In this note, you can more information

about the customizing path, user exit and etc. Review note 213765 will give you some hints

about the reporting usage(Transaction MEIS).

Yes, this field in inherited and used in import data screens in your purchase order

and further in INTRASTAT reporting
