Hi,
More of an academic question. But in a typical architecture today we have the ERP backend and that captures process control data every shift or every day. Then we also have historians which are deployed on the shopfloor to capture machine data and then report on it. With the new HANA database which will eventually "simplify" all the tables will a time come where 3rd party historians like OSISoft or AspenTech not be needed anymore? Rather have all the machine data polled straight by HANA and then use FIORI apps for real time reporting ?
Thanks
no one who can answer this ? Dont think this is an unreasonable architecture.
