Webi report history shows zero instances.

Dear All,

I am facing an issue with a webi report history page. I have few webi reprots with couple of instacnes for each reprot. when i view the report in BI launchpad, I can see total instance count for each reprot,but when click on the history tab,shows empty page with out any instances .

But i am able to view the latest instacne of the reprot by clicking the view latest instacne option.

Please suggest me what is the root cause for this issue. Did restarting of file store will help to solve this issue.

Resolution

Clear Tomcat cache:

  1. Open the Central Configuration Manager
  2. Shut down Tomcat using the stop icon
  3. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\Tomcat6\work\Catalina\localhost and rename the BOE directory to BOE_old
  4. Start Tomcat
  5. Launch the CMC or BI Launch Pad from your browser - this step will take a while because the BOE folder will be recreated and all content repopulated

Note: The BOE_old directory should be deleted after you are confident that the Tomcat cache files have been recreated.

Thank you..after clearing the tomcat cache i am able to view the history.

I just noticed, the instances are not visible if output format is selected as Webi.

If the format type is Excel, then the instance is visible.

Any clue, what could be the issue?

Can you check the Preferences setting in BI Launchpad:

Also check the security, if you have been granted to view the instances or not:

Hi ,

Preferecnes are set correctly.

i am facing this issue only from today as we have restarted the SIA today,after words i am facing this issue.

Is the issue persist only for you or for others well? Did you validated the security setting as well?

Issue is for every one..even administrator has the same issue.

Can you confirm, you are able to see the instances if you login to CMC? Also try to see the instances using Instance Manager. See if you are able to see the instances?

Hi,

i am not  able to view in CMC also..even in instance manger i have the same issue. i am not able to view any instances in instance manager.

this issue is only for webi reports. for crystal i am able to view the history page in launchpad and in CMC but not in instacnes manager.
