How to remove 'Import Roles' Push Button from Access Request Submission Form???

Hi All,

I would like to remove 'Import Roles' push button from the access request submission form. To the best of my knowledge, there are 2 ways to do so and those are:

1. Open the page in 'Admin' mode and make it 'Invisible'. I have tried this option but did not get any option to do so.
2. Use 'Auth Object' and restrict in PFCG Role. I have checked this too and did not get any direct auth. object to use it for this purpose.

Can anyone please suggest me in achieving this?

Dear Faisal,

you need to change the layout of the webdynpro. If you want I can figure out how to do.

Personally I am interested why you want to remove the button? The import functionality for roles is similar than for users. If you have a bunch of roles to get requested this is the easiest and fastest way to do so. All my clients are very happy with the button.

Actually this was my question

I noticed this new enhancement in 10.1 and was not clear with its intent and wanted to avoid any confusion. But now I think this should be available to end users!

Faisal,

definitely.. from my point of view the titel "Role Import" is a bit confusing.. it should rather be named "Add roles from file" so that it's more clear.

I have written an Excel makro to create import files for user and roles that can be downloaded here. It is definitely not the best makro from progamming point of view, but it works and helps a lot 🙂 feel free to distribute.

I agree, it is a bit confusing and at first I thought by using this users may be able to import roles from back end systems!

I think this should be renamed.
