VBBE ATP in S4

Hi,

We are migrating to an S4 platform and see that VBBE will be the way forward for ATP. VBBS will not be used. How will that make ATP checking better? Also will this speed up the V_V2 program performance and can we run that multiple times a day without performance issues and in quick time ?

Thanks

Hello

ATP records on table VBBS are no longer supported because this is an aggregated tab, which is no longer necessary when using HANA.

I suggest you to read carefully the following note for more information:

2267745S4TWL - New advanced ATP in SAP S/4HANA # Table VBBS

Thanks for the reply but I am aware of what VBBS does technically and also of the OSS note. However what I am trying to find out is what is the benefit of checking VBBE and not VBBS. I could check VBBE with OVZ2 setting in ECC as well. How will S/4 make life any easier with a check just in VBBS ? Can i run ATP in mass quicker ? Can I run backorder rescheduling quicker ? Will I have better ATP results now that I am checking at VBBE level and not at VBBS level which places the req date on the Monday of the current or following week ?

Hi GS,

ATP as in 1511 is not optimal or not the final solution . SAP has plans to merge GATP (and also PPDS) natively in digital core of S4H . BOP etc is expected  to run faster in future releases (not sure from which releases).

With regards,

Ok thx.....but my question is around the benefit of using the VBBE in 1511. I can by running a report have OVZ2 in 1511 just give me the VBBE option and make VBBS irrelevant. So there is some optimization in 1511 even though GATP is not in the same system. So how will this "mini optrimization" work  and benfit the business. Our backorder rescheduling V_V2 program runs for over 10 hrs. Wanted to see if 1511 will reduce the time ?
