Requirement Specification document for Universe

I am gathering Requirements Specifications for new Universe Development.

Can someone share Requirement Specification template for Universe which will be easy for user to fill in their requirements.

Hi Ranjith,

In general we don't ask the users to provide the requirements for a universe. Considering that the universe is just a mechanism to provide access to data in an underlying database, you would probably want to understand the kind of queries that the user would require this universe to answer. This would become an input for designing the universes.

The users (most of them) would love to see something that they can play without worrying about contexts and loops.

Universe Design Specification document specifies proposed universe design details like.

Tables, Joins, Possible contexts, LOV, Prompts, Universe parameters etc.

However to be real no one prepares such a exhaustive document before designing a universe. Generally we used to generate it using a excel as and when required.
