Factory calendar with specific Calendar Dates as working days rather than week days

Former Member

We have a requirement to create a factory calendar on specific calendar dates like 7th, 14th, 21st and last day of month to meet the invoice listing cycle requirements. However, the factory calendar has provision to define only week days like Monday, Tuesday... as working days.

Please share any ideas or inputs.

Regards,

Praveen

Hello Praveen,

In Factory calendar transaction SCAL, you will find a tab 'special rules'. Here you can define specific dates as working days.

You need to go in edit mode in factory calendar, and there you will find special rules tab on top left. Click on special rules and then click on 'create' symbol on top left and then define specific dates over there and check mark 'workday' box.

This should fulfill your requirement.

Thanks Nikesh.

That helps. But would like to know is it a quicker way rather than defining these dates for each month under special rules.

In the case I mentioned earlier each month has 4 specific dates. So there would be 4 special rules for each month and 12 times 4 for one year.

Kindly advice.

Not sure why you were looking for a factory calendar if your requirement is to generate billing documents on selected dates.  You can schedule a job with a variant for program RV60SBAT where you can specify the required date intervals / period.

The invoice listing cycle varies from customer to customer. So invoice listing cycle is required at customer level. It is not advisable to set batch jobs for specific customers. So it has to be handled at Factory calendar. By the way requirement here is not on invoicing it is on invoice listing.
