I see ME_SFCID in AFRU, so I can determine order numbers and SFC's linked from AFRU. But prior to a confirmation is the SFC assignment stored at order header level? Thanks.

No, this info is not available in ERP at order header level. It appears only at receipt of yield confirmations from SAP ME.
