[RFC Destination] Code 500 - Internal Error

I have a host (for the SAP GRC, running on port 50000) and it just stopped responding for an hour. Whenever I tried to access the page I received the code 500 ( internal error ). The same happened when i did the connection test of the SAP_PROXY_ESR under "HTTP Connections to External Server" in SM59.

After one hour it got back to work.

How can I find out what was the source of the problem so that I can act on it?

Thank you,

Ademar Nowasky Junior

Is this dual Stack system or single stack (i.e. JAVA and ABAP on different server/instance)

This might happens when your java system is slow or not responcive for sometime.

Both are on the same server.

The java system was not responding , that's for sure, but I want to know the cause to avoid future problems. Is there a log file that I might be looking at?

You can look at java system default trace to findout why java server was not responding.

Thank you!

By looking at the trace and log files I was able to identify the problem.

For anyone who is having the same problem , the log files can be found at: /usr/sap/<SAPSID>\<instance_name>/j2ee/cluster/server<n>/log

Or view this link: Viewing Log and Trace Files - SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment Library - SAP Library

I was able to find these errors:

Thanks again Yogesh Patel.
