MDN Setup.

Hi All,

I am working on scenario from AS2 to File. Sender AS2 and need to send the File to ECC,PI,and MainFrame system.

Created Sender Party for AS2 and for Receiver with out Party. Mentioned AS2 id's in indentifiers. Now I am stuck in creating MDN. Can anybody let me know what are steps to create MDN in PI and SEEBURGER? and how MDN works?

Hi Vijay,

AFAIK the MDN is used when you want a message confirmation (the transmission was completed successfully and the EDI message was received correctly), therefore this message is created on the receiver endpoint side.

Actually here I am using Sender as AS2, am not sure how to do MDN settings. The blogs which mentioned in SDN are mostly saying about AS2 at receiver side.

Please let me know the steps to create MDN for AS2 Sender.

Hi Vijay,

In the first link shared by Raghu in the page 9 you have "AS2 Sender channel with message protocol “Reports” has been used for sending back MDN", have you tried to follow the image and the notes, are you getting any exception or you have any doubt in the configuration?

Thanks again. Having one more question. for MDN only sender agreement and sender communication channel is enough? what about other corresponding steps like receiver determination, interface determination and receiver agreement. Rgds.

Raghu, there is already same type of scenario done by others in same system, I referred that and which has no pipeline steps for MDN, I wonder how its working with out that.
