Details on SLC & SUS

Hello Team,

Please let me to know for the below mentioned queries:

1) Master data replication for MM-SUS.

2) Now in SLC ( Buy side & Sell Side both in SRM but different clients), where from the master data records will come ?

3) Whether we can implement SLC on top of SUS i.e. in the same client, if so then SLC Buy side or Sell Side ?

4) Why we need to run the report "/SRMSMC/GET_SRM_SUPPLIER" as already the suppliers are there in SRM System. As, SLC is implemented on top of SRM ?

Hi Fazhlay

Please find my reply below:

1. In SUS the main set of Master data to be replicated is  vendor

Start with transaction BD14. It creates a BP for supplier in SUS.

Supplier gets an email with userid, password and can create his own SUS admin user

https://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/SRM/Interfaces+used+in+the+MM-SUS+scenario

2. SAP Supplier Lifecycle Management is split into the sell side and the buy side. Suppliers use sell side, whereas purchasers only use buy side.

Data automatically transfer to the buy side and from there to the sell side as you mainatain the customizing settings. Ideally sell side will always be a subset

of Buy side. You can also choose to restrict changes in the sell side and give all control to the buy side Refer link below :

https://help.sap.com/saphelp_slc113/helpdata/en/f5/0cd80812184c13bcef4afa50cfbf6c/content.htm

3. The sell side of SAP Supplier Lifecycle Management can be deployed on supplier self-services (SUS), which is part of SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SAP SRM).

Refer this discussion which shows in details about system architecture .

You can also try to check the SLC master guide

https://scn.sap.com/thread/3750703

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_slc200/helpdata/en/0b/f944f56e4e4791a97ebdd808263c36/content.htm

4. You have to run the report it is for the initial upload of data .

This is how SAP has designed the system . The SRM has all the data and SLC is connected to it however the data would not flow on its own . This is also the same

case when you connect SRM to ECC . Hence its a standard way to send master data from

SRM To SLC , or from ECC or from ROS .

Thanks Vinita,

I a looking more answers if you can help me out.

1)Regarding the first question, apart from the Vendor data. We need to have the Product Category in SUS.So, how can we take care of that.

To be noted that its a MM-SUS Scenario.

2)Regarding the Second question, in our scenario SLC Sell Side is in SUS & SLC buy side is in SRM

SLC sell side will use the master data which is in SUS - Yes or NO..?

SLC buyside will use the master data which is in SRM - Yes or NO...?

To be noted that its a MM-SUS Scenario.

3) Regarding the third point i got it from the link you provided.

4) Regarding the fourth Point, if the SRM & SLC is in the same client why we need to run the report for intial Upload.

Onething, i was wandering as when SLC is activated then some tables & fields also get activated which in turn when run the Program will fetch the vendor data from SRM "BUT000" to some vendor table designed specific to SLC.

1. You dont need to replicate product categories you do not create documents in SUS you just view /approve them

2. Sell side uses data from Buy side and Buy side uses data from SRM

4. That is how the system is designed even though the box is same the portal is different and it fetches data from different table hence so .
