Message pop-up : Analysis edition for OLAP

Dear Experts,

Below message is pop-up, when I am execute the report in BI Launchpad -

"Analysis edition for OLAP could not find one or more members in this analysis, possibly because the cube has been updated. The hierarchy containing these members has been removed to allow the analysis to be executed."

Kindly provide me solution.

Hi Yogesh,

This warning means some values used to filter a hierarchy are not found anymore in database, so corresponding hierarchy has been removed from axis to prevent incorrect analysis of data displayed.

There is no error in executing query, but it's a safety mechanism to avoid end-user misinterprets data by thinking original filter is still applied in data returned.

Hi Yogesh,

There are two ways to avoid such message when opening a workspace, first one would be to make sure values used in filters are still present in database. Second option is to modify design of workspace by applying a new filter which will reference existing members from Hierarchies, and then save workspace.

On a side note, it will only work until there is another similar evolution on database side which break workspace consistency. In such case there will be same warning when opening workspace, to let users know about broken filters.
