i could not find any Infos in PAM whether/how ehp8 is supported with simple finance (1503?)

Check this note, 2167814 - EHP8 for SAP ERP 6.0: Compatible Add-ons.
For your information, simple finances 1503 on premise, is not supported on EHP8,
