Is there any table where the error logs are stored?

Hello experts,

Recently we have upgraded to IDM 8.0 from 7.2. We are daily monitoring the system and searching for the failed logs and its taking so much time for noting down the details. Is there any table or view where the error messages stored in the job logs are saved, so that i can create an job to fetch all the error messages and send an email notification.

currently how we are doing the monitoring is open admin ui -> monitoring tab -> job log (filter based on dates, it take a lot of time to display the logs & also not all entries would be displayed.) Sort my error column, so only the errors are displayed first.

    Hello Deva,

You can run below SQL query everyday to find the error job log which occurred for today.

Select Logid, JobID, JOB_PATH from MC_LOGS with (nolock) where NUM_ERRORS=1 and CAST(LOGDATE AS DATE) = CAST(GETDATE() AS DATE)

This SQL query will give you following details of those jobs which has error -

    1. Log Id
    2. Job Id
    3. Job Path - Where the job log is stored

P.S. - please remove with (nolock) if your database is not MS-SQL.

    Hope it will help.

Is the MXP_AUDIT table no longer in 8.0? In 7.2, you can run a query looking for any tasks that have failed if they have a ProvStatus of 1001 or 1101. There's a few other status that indicate failure but they're in place until the task finishes. Only tasks with a ProvStatus of 4 digits have completed, failure or success.
