Hello Mates,

I am a newbie in terms of dashboards.

I do have access to CMC and BI launch pad.

I just want to create very first simple test dashboard.

From where do I start designing a dasboard. Just like to design a bex query we need Bex Designer, what is it in the case of dasboard?

Kindly help me with it.

Hi Kaval,

Since you are new, you should just go through the link below to get the idea on how to use Dashboards designer.

Click on

• SAP BusinessObjects Dashboards

Play around with it and you will get the idea on how it works.

and assuming you want to use BW data for reporting, do the following steps:-

1. Create a query (using BEx Query Desginer)

2. Establish OLAP connection in CMC to connect the the particular Multiprovider/InfoCube.

3. Open up your SAP BO Dashboards.

4. In your Dashboard designer, you will see Query Browser (normally on your screen lower left side).

5. Connect to the query and start mapping the data to the excel sheet

6. then link the dashboard's objects to the datasheet in the dashboard.
