MSS Phone List iView (MSS 60.1.5 Java Version)

Hi,

I have downloaded the Phone List iView from deployment on portal. When i open that par file with Netweaver Developer Studio it doesnt have any source code in it. Can anybody tell me how to modify it?? Am i doing right thing here.???

Hi Santhosh,

The Phone List par file doesn't have any source code because it is a Query.. You can see the Query in the backend via Tcode SQ01.

User Group: /SAPQUERY/H2

Query Name: PHONE_LIST

Hi Suresh,

I assigend points for helpful answer. I will change them to Problem Solved once i complete the change.

I want to change the length of Phone Number field. How do i do that?? How would i know if one iView is a transaction on backend( and what is the transaction???)?

I went to that transaction then what should i do??

You will have to change the Infoset /SAPQUERY/HR_ADM. The Telephone Number field is p0006-TELNR. As this is a std field, you may not be able to change the length. you should probably put in an additional field with the reqd legth, in the Infoset & add code for that field to display the Tel No. Remove the P0006-TELNR form the Infoset Selections.

You can see it in the iView Properties (Type/transaction etc) under Content Admin in the Portal.

Hi Suresh,

It is valuable information with less effort. Thanks alot for help. I will assign points for problem solved. (I have not tried it yet but i am confident on you.) I dont know how to change the Infoset... if you could post some info here it would be great for anyone who will be looking at this thread.
