How system calculate the Line Total?

Dear All,

I did facing one problem for line total calculation in SAP B1 standard document, version 9.0 PL14.

Example Purchase Order:

Quantity = 10

Unit Price = 19.90

Discount = 45 %

Line Total by system calculated = 109.50

But, it is suppose 109.45

There is no rounding setting applied, and suppose not need any rounding.

I'm not sure how come system can get 109.50, and did i miss any setting?

Thanks in advance for any reply or any idea where to check.

regards,

muhamad

Hi Yahya,

Kindly follow the path as mention below check whether any rounding assigned for currency.

Go To Administration --> Setup --> Financials --> Currencies

and in currencies check any rounding define for said currency or not.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Hello Yaha,

I had tested the same case in my Environment which SAP B1 9.1 PL 08, i had elected a BP with BP Currency as INR, had selected the option for rounding method as By Document under document setting, and i had selected an line item with quantity as 10 and Unit price as 19.90, when you put discount field on line level then you will get line total as 109.50 INR,. but if you put discount at footer level of document then you will get 109.45 as the Total amount.

and i had tested the same scenario while marking Rounding method as By Currency, then also i am getting same results without any change.

So i believe you must go for SAP Support.

Hi Kennedy,

Documents Setting, Rounding Method is by Currency.

Currencies Setup, all Currency set to No Rounding.

If the Currency Setup set to any one of Rounding, this will affect the document total at the footer area.

My problem now, system rounded at live level as per my sample above.

I did try all System restore in case something wrong with system calculation, but no affect also.

Thanks and Regards,

Muhamad

Hi Kennedy,

Yes, I tested on other database also, with same No Rounding setting, and can get the correct line total 109.45.

But I face this problem on one of database, and try to find out if, there is any setting that cause this problem by posted to this forum.

If there are no other setting to check, the only way is send to SAP support.

If any one have any idea, greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,

Muhamad

Hi Kennedy,

Actually, when you mention you can get the correct figure 109.45 after you tested based on my sample, meaning your steps is same as my steps, because I also can get the same correct figure on others database, except for one database which I face the problem.

One more i not yet reply to your message, the Currencies Decimal is set to Default, which is in in General Setting set to 2 decimal.

Thanks,

Muhamad

There is a new SAP note (2316639) applicable to the Indian localisation where "Round Tax in Rows" is checked in document settings.

I don't have that setting in my localisation
