ESS Leave request role without IT2001 modification access

Hi,

I have a requirement for ESS leave request role where employees can create the leave request but they should not be able to update IT2001 absences for their own records in PA30.

Regards,

Kapil Kaushal

Employee never posts his own requests after approval in ESS scenario however there is an update program that will be run to update 2001. SO you need not worry.

    Hi Kapil,

You question is not clear. As Raghu mentioned once the leave request raised by an employee via portal then after managers approval (once you run the report RPTARQPOST- mostly this is an backgroud job) it will be updated in IT2001. there is no manual intervention here.

I take assumption that you have to contral employees updating their own leave in backend system IT2001, then you can control this via authorization using authorization object P_PERNR.

Normaly ESS user's will not have authorization to access backend ECC system.
